England Manager Gareth Southgate has already picked his 23 man squad for FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. He states that in this summer in Russia he has a team to be excited about. There are a lot of youth and skillfull player in the squad though; England has a bad reputation in big tournament.

After 1966 triumph they had not been consistent in FIFA World Cup. It is their sixth consecutive World Cup. The team England has enough depth in this squad. But most of them have injury or performance hitch in this season. Southgate dropped Joe Hart and Jack Wilshare because of their moderate performance in the season. England is one of two teams who have not picked any player from other league except its own.

Goalkeepers

Joe Hart was the no. One for the Three Lions in recent past. But he has been dropped for his poor performance for West Ham this season. Nick Pope is the regular face in Burnley. Jordan Pickford may be standing at the back from the start as he is the choice of the boss. His season was pretty decent in Everton. Jack Butland from Stoke City is another option on the plane of Russia.

Center Backs

If everything goes okay the center half pair will be John Stones of Man City and Harry Maguire from Leicester City. Harry has been performing decent regularly for his club and earned his position at the national team. Gary Cahill the first choice of Chelsea will wait in the bench while other replacement for center half is Phil Jones from Manchester United.

Full Backs

Danny Ross will run in the left back for his team in FIFA World Cup with his Tottenham mate Kyler Walker who has already signed a big contract with Man City placing his national side in right.

The backline experience will be enriched by Ashley Young. Phil Jones may also be the favourite choice for full backs. Keiran Trippier has appeared only five times for national side. But the boss has enough support to shine in big stage.

Midfielders

England has a lot of young guns to lead the midfield position. But Southagate is really impressed by Jordan Henderson of Liverpool that confirms the starting XI for Jordan. He might be the captain in absence of Harry Kane and will be his deputy.

The other one starting from the midfield is Eric Dier. He has a picturesque season and performed splendidly for England in Recent Past. Ruben Loftus Cheek has come as a surprise selection on the plane in Russia.

The 22 year young man has an impressive season for Crystal Palace. Dele Alli will start from the starting XI if Raheem Sterling goes unfit. On the other side, Fabien Delph has a great chance to compete for the position while he has passed a season playing successfully in different position for his club Manchester City.

Forwards

England team has plenty of options in hand. Harry Kane one of the finest forward in the globe will keep the armband and lead his team from the front. Marcus Rushford catches the eye in Manchester United and waiting for a graceful Journey.
